Nominating Committee Report for 2025-2026

The Nominating Committee for the Executive and Members of Council 2025-2026 consisted of Talia Profit, K.C., Immediate Past-President of the Branch; Jason Larose, representative of the Young Lawyers Section for the Branch; and Stéphanie Luce, K.C., CBA NB Member.

The Nominating Committee makes the following recommendation for the vacancy on the Branch Council:

Call for Additional Nominations

“If the Executive Director receives no other nominations on or before April 26, 2025, the slate of nominees set out in the report of the Nominating Committee will be declared elected by acclamation." (Subsection 23(2), Branch By-laws)

An additional nomination for the position of Treasurer or those Elected members for Fredericton and Saint John shall be submitted in writing to Denise Cameron, Executive Director, by email at denise.cameron@cbanb.com or by mail at 422 York Street, Fredericton, New Brunswick, E3B 3P7. A nomination must be received no later than April 26, 2025.

A member of the Branch may submit a nomination if it is consented to in writing by the nominated member and recommended in writing by at least two other members of the Branch.

Election by Acclamation

If the Executive Director does not receive additional nominations on or before April 26, 2025, the Immediate Past-President shall declare the candidates' acclamation.
