We are pleased to announce that Basile Chiasson, Q.C., of Chiasson & Roy in Bathurst, N.B., will serve as Editor for the Solicitors’ Journal. Mr. Chiasson assumes the position following many years working as Chair of the Board and contributing numerous submissions to the publication. We are confident that under Mr. Chiasson’s leadership the publication will continue to be relevant to practitioners in New Brunswick as a significant resource for our members.

Call for Submissions for the summer 2021 Edition
The CBA would like to invite you to submit a paper for publication in the next issue of the Solicitor’s Journal. The Solicitor’s Journal is a journal dedicated to scholarly articles, including case notes and headnotes, Practice Notes, Legislative Highlights, and Feature Stories.
The Solicitor’s Journal is an academic journal that strives for the highest level of literary excellence and scholastic achievement. We seek to advance practical and theoretical analysis of the law.
The deadline for the next edition is: August 31, 2021.
Preparation for Submissions
- 1. As a guideline, submissions should not exceed 10 double-spaced pages, including endnotes.
- Each submission should have a separate title page bearing the title of the submission, the author's name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and any other information including degrees held, professional rank and any other distinctions.
- Citations MUST be in endnote form, following the most recent edition of McGill Law Journal's Canadian Guide to Legal Citation, or its equivalent, if outside Canada. This format should include: ibid, supra, infra, but not op cit.
- The Solicitor’s Journal uses Microsoft Word. Please save your articles in a compatible format
