Biography

David is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer, and executive leader, with a skilled and nationally recognized ability to develop and successfully implement highly efficient and innovative legal solutions that drive business objectives.

David currently serves as General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for WSIB Ontario, one of the largest insurance organizations in North America, with around $40 Billion in assets, $5.6 billion in annual revenue, 5.6 million insured, and around 4,000 employees.

David's work in developing and successfully implementing innovative legal solutions has been recognized nationally, including at the 2023 Canadian General Counsel Awards; by the Canadian Lawyer Magazine, National Post, Financial Post, legalwriter.net and other national publications; and, at the 2023 Canadian Corporate Counsel Association / Mondaq Awards, where he was the recipient of the national "Innovation Impacting the Profession Award".  In 2024, David was named as one of the top 25 lawyers in the Country by Canadian Lawyer Magazine and Key Media International.
